WINONA, MI

(UP) Route 26, turn E at Jake’s Bar (just outside of town) onto gravel rd. 4.2 mi, turn N at small DNR sign which says Pike Lake. Three secluded spots along lake. Camp free 15 days. Need DNR permit, but can wait until ranger comes to site. Plenty of wood, outhouse. D and water at nearby Twin Lakes State Park. NOTE: DNR permits are free at many DNR buildings across the state.
