QC, BLANC-SABLON: ~40 mi rd W from ferry docking in Blanc-Sablon (E from ferry is Labrador (see NL, RED BAY). QC road follows spectacular coastline & mtns w/ numerous BD sites. Map w/ points of interest avail at visitor ctr. Some nice BD sites (no restrictive signs) going W starting from visitor ctr: 1) Visitor ctr, O/N in pkg lot OK.
2) 3.6 mi, picnic table & dirt pullout, access to sandy beach.
3) 5.4 mi, pkg area & viewing platform for island w/ nesting puffins. Walking trail begins here & follows coast for ~1 mi to a smaller pkg spot (at 6.4 mi) at W end.
4) 8.5 mi, fishing interpretive site at sm boat harbor.
5) 10.6 mi, bridge across Bradore Riv, beautiful waterfall (not an O/N site), rd gets very mountainous & winding beyond this point w/ grades to 17%, some rigs may want to turn around here.
6) 15.4 mi, uneven dirt pullout area, views of lakes & ocean.
7) 23.3 mi, paved overlook of Middle Bay.
8) 26.3 mi, lg dirt pullout N side, mtn views.
9) 31 mi, paved overlook, beautiful view of harbor at Riviere St Paul.

TL on St Patrick St, cross the bridge & continue to King Edward St, TR, follow signs to bridge to cross into Quebec (becomes Quebec Hwy 5). Follow signs & take Hwys 50 & 148 E (“est” in French); take Hwy 50 x139 to continue along Hwy 148 (AKA boul Maloney) until Rue Dore, TR, go to Rue Notre Dame & straight into the municipal facility (entrance driveway is an extension of Rue Dore). There is a lg sign at driveway entrance. Go down driveway to a lg chain-link gate. You will come to a concrete block bldg on the R.
